Fix Family

Fix Family, Aviation World Aviation (AWA) missionaries for aviation school courses

Fix Family, Josh, Yosiday, Caleb and Isaac

Joshua Fix was born in Quarryville, Pennsylvania, but was raised in Maryland and then Kentucky. He was homeschooled by his parents and after receiving his GED, he completed the College of Health Evangelism course in Wildwood, Georgia. After finishing his studies in Wildwood, he received extensive training in construction and maintenance, including working on planes. Josh enjoys the outdoors and doing things like hiking, camping, dirt biking, and mountain biking. He also enjoys playing the guitar.

His wife, Yosiday, was born and raised in Mexico. In 2008, she finished her high school in Monterrey, Mexico and then came to Wildwood and took the health evangelism course in Wildwood, Georgia. She also completed the advance course. While taking the classes in Wildwood, she worked at various places, such as the student cafe, the laundry, the Department of Hydrotherapy and Massage, and the IT Department. Yosiday loves to cook (especially baking) and try new recipes. She also enjoys photography, gardening, the outdoors, working with children, and helping others. Yosiday is also interested in getting her pilot’s license, as she enjoys flying.

Josh worked hard to receive his private pilot license in 2016, then added his airframe mechanics’ license in 2017. To that he added the powerplant rating in 2018 and in 2019 he earned his commercial pilot license. Josh has worked at a municipal airport supporting his family until recently when all together the Fix family has seen their dream of serving in the mission field come to fruition. They completed their pre-deployment assessment in the Spring of 2021 and will be serving the people in Nicaragua from the La Tronquera mission base. Please pray for them and support their work as God leads.

Partner with AWA

Today, you have an opportunity to join a circle of people striving to reach the far corners of our world with the Gospel message.  Daily, AWA missionaries follow the 2000 year old model that Christ left when He was here on earth: Love those around them, and provide care for those that are hurting. Each AWA missionary does an invaluable work to further the gospel, however, none of them can do this work alone. It takes a team of people to unity together and boldly commit to this cause. There is an opportunity for you to join this work and be an influential part of bringing joy, and healing to this world. Consider being a part of this force that brings change around the world. By financially partnering with our missionaries you too can stand with us to positively shift our world till Jesus comes again!

Palawan Mission Project

Philippines - Palawan Project Adventist World Aviation has a mission base strategically located on the island of Palawan. Having a base placed here allows access to hundreds of outlying islands. A mission base in the Philippines allows aviation to bring aid to remote areas, as well as focus on evangelizing areas that others cannot reach. Many islands never receive the gospel because they are so difficult to reach. The aviation based in Philippines focuses heavily on transporting evangelist and Pastors to remote islands. Having an aircraft [...]
