We have enjoyed meeting some of you over the past few months as we have been attending various promotional events for AWA. My family and I just returned from ASI (Adventist-laymen’s Services & Industries) and are recuperating from the hustle and bustle. There were so many different agencies there, but me and my family enjoyed being a part of the AWA booth.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14 states, “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.”

Being at ASI, I realized that our goal should be striving to be one body in Christ, no matter what our part. At ASI, we saw a wide variety of ministries that specialized in media, medical, lifestyle medicine, education, disaster relief, and so much more! All these ministries had one mission… to spread the gospel of Christ to the world. It was such a blessing to see how AWA could work with a wide range of ministries at ASI.

Here at AWA, our main specialty is using the gift of aviation to be a blessing to the world. For our workers at AWA, we also have a wide variety of skills that help us accomplish our main goal, with many not even specializing in aviation! Some of us at AWA have business backgrounds, some medical, some mechanical, and some ministerial, among many other skills. God uses each and every one of us, especially our volunteers whom God sends at the right time, to help us accomplish the goal to serve mankind. We also partner with other ministries and the SDA Church at our various projects around the world. Even with our volunteers, workers, and partnering with other ministries, AWA cannot do this work alone. You, our supporters, are also playing a part in this part of the body of Christ, and here at AWA.

Whether you are in a church or community, as time draws short, we need to have the unity of God on the principles of Bible truths. Then, we can reach the world for God. I am excited to see how God is going to use me with AWA to help finish His work. Let us all come before our great Leader and fully surrender to the hand of God to lead us to our corner of the work and do our part in “Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God…” (2 Peter 3:12). Thank you for being our supporters and keep us in your prayers!

Your AWA Missionary in Training family,
Josh, Yosiday, Caleb, and Isaac Fix
