Project Description

Jamaica Mission Project

In 2025, Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica, causing widespread devastation, claiming at least 67 lives and leaving thousands of people displaced. In response to this humanitarian crisis, Adventist World Aviation (AWA) quickly mobilized one of its aircraft from its base in North Carolina, undertaking a long flight to Kingston.

Upon arrival, the team launched a critical airlift operation, delivering clean water, food, and medical supplies to the most affected areas. This mission was carried out in close collaboration with the West Jamaica Conference and Adventist Laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) of the Inter-American Division.

Together, these efforts brought hope and life-saving assistance to impacted communities, demonstrating the power of coordinated action in times of urgent need.

Partner with AWA - Support Jamaica Mission Project

One of Christ’s last instructions to us was to simple “GO”. So that is what AWA is doing on a daily bases. Going. Going far. Going to the most remote locations this world has to offer. And once we get there, our mission bases stay busy serving. We invite you to journey with us by supporting one of our projects.
