Hello friends and family,

We hope this letter finds you in good health and good spirits. The warmer weather is here for awhile, it appears. It makes for good flying!

I have not started my instrument rating yet. Instead, I have been building real cross country time, as my wife and I have been flying to Tennessee to visit my mother, who is suffering from cancer. My wife accompanies me and can help my mother with her cancer treatments.

The flight time is about one hour one way. So far, I have now obtained around 85 hours. This helps me hone my skills and get more comfortable doing some tasks, such as talking to air traffic controllers and general flight planning. We are thankful for the opportunity to be able to use two different aircraft and pay for just the fuel that is used. This puts the time building within reach financially.

Flying is one of the best ways to get from point A to point B. Even the angels take advantage of this mode of travel. But, seriously, aviation is necessary, especially in places where here are few to no good roads. There are still people groups who are totally untouched by modern society—essentially “undiscovered.” We were watching a documentary about people groups around the world. One sequence showed an airplane flying above the Brazilian jungles. On board was a man looking to find an unreached time of people. He finally sees them. With the assistance of zoom and image stabilization we were able to get a glimpse through the trees of these people, who were almost locked in time, as it were. They were just a plane ride away from the rest of our busy world.

The man on the film wanted to protect these people from logging and general contact with the rest of the world. As I watched the images of these people as they curiously looked up at the plane. As I admired them for their simple life, I soon realized that they too had challenges like people everywhere—just in a different environment. They are always fixing their homes, finding food to eat and water to drink. I am sure they have social difficulties like we do, and deal with problems of living in a world that have rebelled against God’s government. They watch their loved ones pass to the grave and wonder if they will ever see them again. Nowhere in this world is there a perfect paradise without the effects of since. The good news is that there is nowhere you can run where God is unable to find you. He is actively seeking us that we would be a part of His earth made new (Revelation 21:1). He loves everyone, including the unreached peoples of the jungle.

It is not our responsibility to go pick up these people and take them to a city and teach them the culture of our modern society. Rather, they need to know that the God, who made their jungle home is coming back and He wants to fellowship with them. Everyone is very much a part of this reality.

If you haven’t surrendered to the Great Creator yet, won’t you do that today, so you too can be ready for His soon return? Then, join AWA, as we seek to fulfill the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and tell everyone (no matter how remote their location) about the returning King.

I hope everyone has a blessed day and is excited about living this day with God and seeing how He can work through your efforts to accomplish this mission. We work on the plan of addition, but God on multiplication. Thank you all for your prayers and support!

Blessings,
Josh and Yosiday Fix
