PRESIDENT’S EDITION

I’d like to invite you in…. inside to what’s going on behind the scenes at AWA.

If you receive our quarterly Airways magazine, you read about our amazing stories from around the globe that highlight our larger projects. With our Inside Edition communication I am sharing something from our quieter side.

Today I want to lift up in prayer & share with you an immediate need that we have to help fulfill a dream for our Missionaries in training. Let me tell you about two of them. They are young missionaries-in-training.

AWA’s two youngest missionaries-in-training, Enoch Echemendia & Brendon Peterson are both dedicated to God’s service. These young men are inspiring our next generation.

At 19 and 23 respectively, they have chosen to give everything to the Lord and pursue life as mission pilots. They have made a conscious choice to spend their lives serving others. Their stories are an inspiration to anyone, at any age!

To prepare for life as an aviation missionary they are spreading their wings at SMAT, the School of Missionary Aviation Technology in Ionia, Michigan.

Enoch has just started the A&P program, a grueling year long program that will provide him with the skills and knowledge to maintain and repair his aircraft in the mission field. Brendon recently completed this challenging A&P training and is now on to flight school!

As Enoch and Brendon work tirelessly to complete their training, they are also working on growing their base of supporters. They are in need of immediate support to help cover the cost of their education. Together the goal is to raise $25,000 for the current semester.

Enoch and Brendon are doing all they can now to gain the skills they will need as mission pilots. Soon they will be serving people in remote areas, who have been forgotten by the rest of the world. Would you be willing to partner with AWA to help these forgotten people? If you would like to show them that you admire their dedication & devotion and are behind them all the way, visit www.flyawa.org and select “Missionaries in Training” button to donate today. If you would like to sign up for their regular newsletters, please email me at president @flyawa.org and let me know I will pass the information along.

ON THE STORM FRONT: As we all wait and watch as Florence moves along its path, AWA has made preparations to help where needed as soon as the word is given. AWA has planes and pilots ready to assist those who have been impacted by this devastating storm. Our fuel fund supplies are low, however, and the funds in reserve need to be replenished. AWA with your help can make a difference to those affected by this hurricane and others to follow. Please give as much as you are able to relieve the suffering of our neighbors here in North Carolina, as well as those in other areas around the world. Together we can be the hands and feet of Jesus. To make a donation today, go to www.flyawa.org and press “Disaster Relief” button..

There are always needs, big and small, and we are so joyful that you are willing to support AWA and our aviation mission projects. Just know, we cherish you for all your prayers and support and we are thankful that you have chosen to be a part of our AWA family.
