Our Cessna 182 based here at the AWA Midwest has undergone a longer than expected annual inspection. We discovered the need to replace 3 cylinders with low compression. For pilots that are eager to fly, the long wait is agonizing as beautiful flying weather comes and goes. Our AWA Midwest Chief Pilot and resident A&P, Joe Berti, and I were blessed with many opportunities to seek wisdom and patience from the Lord as we faced one delay after another. Finally, the day came on October 24th when the weather was nearly perfect and mine
and Joe’s schedule coincided. Our mission was to complete the Continental break-in procedures for the newly installed cylinders. The runup of 64X was flawless, the engine roared and sounded great!
