From a very young age, a thought about mission that I once heard found a deep echo in my life. The thought goes like this: if you do not live to serve, you are not fit to live. In other words, our life while we await the return of Christ is not a life of inactivity, idleness, or the pursuit of comfort as our supreme goal, but rather a life of selfless service to those in need. For each person, that service will take different forms. For some, the calling is to be teachers; for others, doctors; others, architects; others, administrators; or even pastors.
