Fall time for Alaskans is a very short period. This year, for example, we are experiencing a little more snow than usual in the interior. It is high time to get ready for winter and to put into place the cold weather practices that will make flying as safe as it can be for ourselves and our passengers. Among those things are putting on the wing, tail, and engine covers that prevent the accumulation of ice, snow, and frost on the surfaces. We only have hangar space for one airplane at a time, so each must wait their turn…
