In the north east corner of Nicaragua, Adventist World Aviation has an aviation mission base strategically placed to help the local Miskito Indians. This mission base has been operational for 8 years, offering emergency medical transport from remote jungle villages to hospital facilities. These flights very often save the lives of the patients being transported since there are very few remote road systems to reach the far flung communities. AWA is honored when provided with opportunities to save lives with the aid of aviation.
In this episode of Off the Grid, Pilot Clint Hanley is able to transport two hurting children who would not survive the treacherous journey via land travel.
