Project Description

Christine Cayetano

Christine Cayetano, missionary of Aventist World Aviation (AWA) for Palawan Mission Project in the Philippines

Christine Cayetano

Missionary work for Christine began when she was an accountant for the 1000 Missionary Movement in 1996. In April 2004, her involvement with AWA started on a part time basis to help set up accounting records for AWAF operations. An opportunity to work for AWAF on a full-time basis was offered in November that year. In February 2005, Christine started as an official AWAF full-time employee. Accepting the challenge of working full-time was not an easy decision because it meant moving away from her home, leaving her family, friends, and all she had ever known.

Christine moved to Palawan from Cavite in March 2006. She was willing to work and move to Palawan for as long as the Lord would spare her from getting infected with malaria, which was so prevalent in the southern part of the island. Fifteen years have passed and Christine is still free from malaria! God is indeed good and true to His promise found in Psalms 91: 10, 11 “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

Partner with AWA

Today, you have an opportunity to join a circle of people striving to reach the far corners of our world with the Gospel message.  Daily, AWA missionaries follow the 2000 year old model that Christ left when He was here on earth: Love those around them, and provide care for those that are hurting. Each AWA missionary does an invaluable work to further the gospel, however, none of them can do this work alone. It takes a team of people to unity together and boldly commit to this cause. There is an opportunity for you to join this work and be an influential part of bringing joy, and healing to this world. Consider being a part of this force that brings change around the world. By financially partnering with our missionaries you too can stand with us to positively shift our world till Jesus comes again!

Palawan Mission Project

Philippines - Palawan Project Adventist World Aviation has a mission base strategically located on the island of Palawan. Having a base placed here allows access to hundreds of outlying islands. A mission base in the Philippines allows aviation to bring aid to remote areas, as well as focus on evangelizing areas that others cannot reach. Many islands never receive the gospel because they are so difficult to reach. The aviation based in Philippines focuses heavily on transporting evangelist and Pastors to remote islands. Having an aircraft [...]
