You may have heard of the many typhoons that tear through the Philippines, leaving death and destruction in their paths. Palawan is fortunately situated where it is missed by most of the havocmakers. Still, the recent Typhoon Odette destroyed gardens and wiped-out banana plantations, both a source of income and food for the people here.
