Introducing a bright star from the continent of Africa—Kabwe Musonda. Born in Zambia (located in the southern region of Africa) Kabwe has been passionate about aviation since he was a child. At age 9 he saw airliners take off and land. This spiked a great deal of curiosity as he wondered how a big heavy metal object ascended and remained in the air while his lightweight soccer ball would always quickly return to the ground. His curiosity turned into interest and he set his focus on becoming a pilot. Being raised by only a single mother and living in an undeveloped nation which has very little opportunity for aviation, the road ahead to Kabwe’s dream was not easy.
