We have always been told that the trip across the Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba prairie provinces is a long path to drive. It is! God has created an amazing country for us to visually enjoy and we were blessed every kilometer (mile) of the drive. On the first part of the journey we met Brian Koldyk in Winnipeg. He is an AWA ferry pilot. Brian brings years of experience as a float plane pilot and a long media publishing career. Weather and finances permitting, preparations are being made for Brian to travel to Smithfield, NC to pick up the Cessna 185 on amphibs, fly it back to Canada, with his first stop in Oshawa, Ontario for the dedication ceremony, and then on to Sioux Lookout. The window of opportunity for floatplane flying is May to October; so the clock is ticking for the flight to safely take place.
